COVID-19 Vaccinations Have Begun

We are very pleased to provide these updates about COVID-19 vaccinations at Charlesgate. We’re working in partnership with staff from local Walgreens and CVS pharmacies to provide shots for all residents and staff who want the vaccine.

Senior Living Center

The Senior Living Center is scheduled to begin vaccination clinics in partnership with Walgreens in early February. Independent living residents will be following guidelines for phase two, and they will likely receive vaccinations through their doctors.

Nursing Center

The first COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Nursing Center was held on Jan. 2. All residents and staff who wanted the vaccine were vaccinated by CVS staff. (The pictures show a couple of our staff members getting their shots.)

The second vaccine will be given on Jan. 23, making those who receive both shots fully vaccinated. Another clinic will be held in February for those who may have missed the opportunity in January.

If you have any questions about the vaccine itself, please refer to our previous blog post with vaccine-related FAQs or go to the CDC’s COVID-19 website.

We said this early in the pandemic, and we would like to say it again: Every resident, family member, and team member is a cherished part of the Charlesgate family. We thank you for your support during this unprecedented time.

We will continue to reach out to families personally and hope that you always feel at ease contacting any member of our team for information or questions. Be safe and stay healthy!
